(1)熔体分解产生的气体

有些原料加热后会产生挥发性气体,这些气体多带腐蚀性,它们会对模具产生腐蚀。因此,设备停止工作时,应用软布将模具擦净,并闭合模具,若较长时间不用时,模腔内要喷防锈剂,在关闭模具时还要涂上黄油,堵上浇口。

(2)模具中的冷却水

模具中多采用冷却水以进行冷却,因此成型设备周围水气较多。如将模具冷却到露点以下,空气中的潮气就会在模具表面结成水珠,如不及时擦去就易生锈。特别是在模具停止工作后,会很快产生冷凝水。因此,停止成型时,也要关闭冷却水,并将模具擦干。

(3)成型时产生的碳化物

模具在较长时间工作后,成型材料中析出和分解生成碳化物,常使模具磨损、腐蚀或生锈。对此,若发现有碳化物生成,应立即清除干净。
